Have you had an "Ahh Hah moment" in math? That means that something that used to be confusing suddenly makes sense. For example, Mrs. Speaks told me a few years ago during a teacher training day that whenever she has to multiply by 25 she thinks in terms of quarters. That made sense to me and I have been doing it that way ever since. What have you learned about math that makes sense to you?
Those Native Americans that we have been reading about were really creative about using their environment to make things. One tribe actually made clothes out of tree bark! I wonder what it would have been like to live in an Native American tribe back then? Which tribe would you choose? What do you think is interesting about the Native Americans so far?
Hi, my name is Mrs. Elder. I like to spend time with my family and friends on the weekends. We like to go on bike rides, eat pizza, and go to parks. In the winter time we sometimes go to Outdoor Adventures to go swimming. It is hard for me to choose a favorite subject. I absolutely LOVE to read. I like fiction and nonfiction. I also love math and science because I love finding out why things work and using that information to solve problems. I am also fascinated by our country's history so I like learning about social studies as well.
